24/7 Service: A Repatriation Executive will be available at all times. The office is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Outside these hours we have a rota system where a repatriation executive is available. The person on call has access to our software and will be aware of current cases and will be able to deal with any queries.
In addition, new cases will be dealt with promptly and without delay. We make all efforts for a case to be dealt by the same member of staff until the repatriation has been completed. This is to ensure continuity and keep the family reassured the case is dealt with as efficiently as possible.
Communication: We have a robust system in place for communication where our clients are updated at least daily. The update is provided even if nothing significant happens.
In addition, we have proper procedures for response time’s management, such as immediate action following notification.
We constantly review and improve our repatriation procedures by offering our staff constant training and daily meetings. Training records are available for inspection at our offices.
Our Complaint’s Procedure: Ensures that any complaints are dealt with promptly and without delay. A copy is available upon request.
Languages: Albin International staff are able to communicate in 11 languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch and German. In addition we have a contract with a specialist company which provides simultaneous translation if needed.
Family Support: Immediate family support is provided to families should it be needed. From assistance with registering a death to booking flights home, we are ready to help the families whenever necessary.
Bereavement Group: We have formed a unique group of professionals in the bereavement area who meet regularly and are able to provide bereavement service in the UK or indeed overseas if required.
IATA: Albin International is the only Funeral Director which has IATA membership in the UK. To be able to maintain this membership, Albin International must adhere to certain requirements, such as specific training courses which are available exclusively to IATA members.
Albin international is also member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), International Federation of Tanatopraxis Association, FIAT-IFTA, British Institute of Embalmers (BIE) and the Latin American Association of Funeral Homes and Cemeteries (ALPAR)
Software: Together with Norwegian IT Company we developed a bespoke software dedicated to Repatriation of Human Remains. This software is now in use for over years and is in constant review to help us provide the best possible service.
Facilities: We have built a completely new facility for the international office and redeveloped our procedures to focus on communication and transparency of work.
